DAY 8

John 3:17

“For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”

Jesus makes clear that His mission was rooted in the rescue, not a condemnation. Though fully righteous and authoritative, He did not come to crush the broken or reject the sinful, but to offer Himself as the solution to humanity’s deepest need. Through His sinless life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, Jesus reconciles humanity to God.

The Son’s saving work does not end at the cross or the empty tomb. Before ascending, Jesus promised that He would return, securing future hope for His followers. The Christian life is lived between redemption accomplished and restoration awaited. We follow Jesus not only with gratitude for what He has done, but with expectation for what He will complete, for what He promised.

For the Church at the beginning, this truth shapes both mission and posture. We proclaim salvation with humility, extend grace with urgency, and live with hope rather than fear. We desire to be BOLD, we desire to embody LOVE, and we seek to continue Jesus Christ’s ministry of reconciliation of the world to the Father through Spirit-led transformation. Today, thank Jesus for His saving work and allow hope in His return to shape how you live and love others.

Prayer Prompt to advance the Kingdom through Spirit-Led transformation

Jesus, thank You for saving us through Your sacrifice. Help us live as people shaped by grace, not judgment. Fill us with hope as we await Your return. Lead us by Your Spirit to reflect Your reconciling love as You advance Your Kingdom through us. Advance Your Kingdom in my heart. Advance Your Kingdom in my mind. Advance Your kingdom in my marriage. Advance Your kingdom in my home. ADVANCE YOUR KINGDOM IN YOUR CHURCH JESUS!!

-AMEN-
