DAY 21

You did it! This is the last devotional for this year’s first season of prayer and fasting. We pray that it impacted you in a powerful way. We would also like to hear what the Lord spoke to you, how this ministered to you, and what you see for the church as well as your home.

Malachi 4:6

“He will turn the hearts of the fathers back to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.”

The final words of the Old Testament point toward restoration within the family as a sign of God’s redemptive work. Malachi describes a turning of hearts as a healing movement that restores relationships, trust, and love across generations. This is not sentimental reconciliation, but spiritual renewal that prepares the way for God’s kingdom to advance.

Jesus fulfills this promise through His life, death, and resurrection, creating a new family of faith while also restoring earthly relationships. The Church becomes a place where spiritual fathers and mothers are formed, where children are nurtured in truth, and where healing flows from God’s presence into every generation.

As The Waters Edge completes these 21 days of prayer and fasting, this scripture’s vision stands before us: a church whose fruit is visible in restored families, strengthened marriages, healed relationships, and generations anchored in Christ. This is not the end of the journey; it is the beginning of faithful witness lived out daily. Today, commit to carrying what God has formed in you back into your relationships, allowing His healing to flow through you to others. Take time to reflect on how He has spoken and what He is doing in your 2026.

Prayer Prompt to advance the Kingdom through Spirit-Led Transformation

God, thank You for the work You have begun among me. Let my season of searching, my period of seeking Your face, be a discipline I return to moment by moment. Thank You for speaking, thank You for moving, thank You for sustaining me in my fasting, and thank You for drawing me into deeper waters. Heal families, restore relationships, and turn hearts toward one another through Your Spirit. Let this church bear lasting fruit through lives marked by reconciliation and love. Advance Your Kingdom through generations transformed by Your grace. Advance Your Kingdom through Spiritual-transformation as you draw people to The Water’s Edge.
