Day 20

Joshua 24:15

“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

At the close of his leadership, Joshua calls Israel to a decisive moment of allegiance. Having witnessed God’s faithfulness across generations, he understands that covenant faith must be lived out first in the most personal place, in the home. Joshua does not speak as a ruler issuing policy, but as a man committing his household to the lordship of God.

Scripture consistently reveals that God’s redemptive work flows through families. When hearts are aligned to the Lord within the home, faith is passed on, healthy rhythms are established, wounds are addressed, and stability is formed. Healing does not begin in institutions or programs; it begins where love, authority, discipline, and grace are practiced daily.

For the Church, this truth is foundational. A healthy church is made up of households submitted to Christ; it is made up of homes marked by forgiveness, patience, repentance, and shared devotion to God. When families are healed, communities are strengthened, and faith takes root across generations. Today, pray intentionally for your household. Pray for everyone, in the present and in the future. Spend time asking God to establish His peace, healing, and lordship within your home.

Prayer Prompt to embody Love with Relentless Grace

Father, I invite You to rule and reign in my home. Heal broken places that may be in my family and restore what has been damaged by sin or neglect. Teach me to lead with love, humility, and faithfulness. May the fruit of this church be seen first in households devoted to You, and start with my home. Let us live in freedom, let us live for You.
