DAY 1

Well, you made it! A new day, a new year, a new season, and let us all expect to encounter God in a significant way. We are about to put in some reps and work on our Spiritual health as we seek Him through prayer and fasting. Just remember, you are not alone; many others across the area are fasting and praying alongside you. If you need support with anything that comes up, please feel free to reach out to someone and ask them to pray alongside you.
Joshua 4:7
“So these stones shall become a memorial to the sons of Israel forever.”
When the people of Israel crossed the Jordan, God did not allow the miracle to be rushed past. Though the waters had parted and the promise lay ahead, the Lord commanded His people to stop and build a memorial from stones taken out of the riverbed itself. Before Israel advanced, they were instructed to remember. The altar stood as a visible testimony that their future was grounded in God’s faithfulness, not their strength.
This moment teaches us that God’s beginnings are intentional and sacred. The foundation of what He builds is not momentum, but remembrance. As 2026 begins, as The Waters Edge begins, we choose to mark this moment by honoring what God has already done and acknowledging that He alone makes the way forward. Today, intentionally remember and thank God for specific moments of His faithfulness in your life, offering them back to Him as an act of worship and trust. Maybe share it with your family or with someone else to testify to God’s grace in your life.
Prayer Prompt to be empowered by the Holy Spirit
"Holy Spirit, establish this beginning in reverence and remembrance. Build Your church among us by Your power, not our plans, and anchor us in what You have already done. I give you this fast. I give you these first three weeks of the year. As I draw near to You, show Yourself, speak, reveal, and give me eyes to see things as You do. Empower me, change me, lead me, sustain me. My King, my Lord, my Savior. - Amen-"
